Zi Li was born on 1 October 2013 in Xi’An, China, without his left forearm due to a heart malformation that did not allow the fetus to develop properly. He arrived in Italy when he was 18 months old and over time became increasingly aware of his missing limb. From the age of 5, however, this amputation began to become a source of difficulty in relationships, as it already was when he met new children who pointed it out. The word that sums up his personality is independence.
In 2017, Zi Li took up swimming and mini rugby, and in 2019 he took up basketball: now the ball goes in the basket with every shot!
