Christian’s story

Christian was born on 4th November 1998 in Livorno.

On 12th May 2021, while returning from work, he lost control of his scooter and crashed his legs into a lamppost.

Christian reacted immediately with great strength, aware of what had happened but conscious of the fact that he was still alive! After the accident a whole new world opened up to him, full of new experiences to try out, especially in the field of sport, and new acquaintances to make.

He is a sunny, curious and proactive boy. Sport has always been a part of his life: he has practiced rugby, basketball and he started canoeing when he was 13 and has been teaching it since he was 21.

He admires all athletes who are able to give their best and his main goal in the short term is to become Italian Champion in paracanoe. In the long term he wants to take part in the Paralympic Games and become World Champion!

He came into contact with art4sport through President Teresa with whom he met in person after the accident.

Christian joined the Association in October 2021: art4sport will be able to support him morally, in the search for the most suitable prostheses for his type of amputation and will allow him to relate to people with more experience than him.
