Davide was born on October 3rd 2016 with a congenital malformation involving parts of his body. Right from the start, due to these malformations, he was subject to several surgeries and, a little younger than a year old, had his right foot amputated.
His mother Lucia and father Giuseppe’s reaction were initially one of despair, anger and discouragement, but they found the strength to react in Davide’s eyes, which showed a great desire to live. Only two weeks after the amputation, in fact, he was already standing on one leg in his bed. The word that sums up his character is vitality.
The whole family learned to see things differently and Davide taught his parents and his brothers, Mirko and Leonardo, that diversity is only in the mind and that life is a very important gift.
