Davide’s story

Davide was born on September 19th 1992 in Montebelluna (TV). On August 9th 2018, while returning from work on his motorbike, he was involved in a street accident that caused the amputation of his right leg below the knee.

The immediate feelings were of disbelief and shock: Davide thought he was living in a nightmare and could not realize that it had happened to him.

After moments of loss, it was time to react. The accident was only the beginning of a story that he would never have imagined and that could give him the opportunity to do great things and live his life to the maximum, including returning to sport. Davide is a determined, active and sporty boy. Since the age of 5 he has always skied and from the age of 11 he started playing volleyball.

The sportsman he most admires is Walter Bonatti, first an explorer and then a mountaineer, who always did everything he loved, in complete freedom and overcoming his own limits. In the short term, Davide would like to be able to have all the means at his disposal to start a competitive career, while in the long term his goal is to win a Paralympics.

He found out about art4sport on the web and during his stay in hospital his sister Chiara got in touch with Teresa, President of the Association. Since joining the association, he feels more willing and curious to try new experiences, including sports.
