Marco was born in Cuneo on September 20th 2002. Due to an accident, in 2018 he had his left arm amputated above the elbow and his left leg above the knee. Marco reacted very strongly, focused on rehabilitation, learning how to use prostheses and accepting this new condition.
Following the amputation, some doctors and family friends had advised him to play sports and his short-term goal is precisely to become a good water polo player, an activity he has been practicing since September 2018
