Nicolò’sstory
Nicolò was born in Cantù on September 28th 2008 with a congenital malformation that led to the loss of his left limb in utero and some malformations in his upper limbs.
Nicolò did not suffer the trauma of losing his limb but had to undergo a series of operations and physiotherapy, always facing them with the approach of positivity that define him. He is an exuberant and curious child, and his parents call him their ‘ray of sunshine’!
The family dynamics, especially in the first two years of his life, were deeply affected because during that period Nicolò had to have the greatest number of operations. As time went by, however, his peace of mind and happiness created a positive spiral that also infected his parents!
He has loved swimming since he was a child and has now also taken up water polo, amputee football and skiing. His aim is to have fun and improve in sport… maybe even win a cup! The sports personality he admires most is Patrick Cutrone because he is very young but very strong.
His parents found out about art4sport through Arte Ortopedica in Budrio. Nicolò joined the art4sport team in January 2016: the art4sport ONLUS Association will be able to help him improve his skiing technique and will be an opportunity to meet many new friends and their families!
